Forget cat fights and bullying, VH1's Basketball Wives may have a real problem on its hands. After a petition to boycott the controversial reality show, backed by Star Jones, started gaining steam, the hit franchise has lost its first sponsor.

Feminine products brand Summer's Eve will no longer advertise on the program (perhaps they don't find the Wives ladylike?), Change.org reports, adding that they plan to announce a second sponsor who is ditching the show in the next fews days.

The companies claim they will also refrain from advertising on Evelyn Lozada's spin-off show, Ev & Ocho

Meanwhile, various outlets are reporting that Basketball Wives is also losing support from fans, who claim they are tired of the bullying and negative portrayal of Black women on the show. Ratings have fallen from 2 million viewers a few weeks ago to 1.75 million last week, a 12.5% drop.

Thankfully for die-hard fans, Shaunie O'Neal's planned Basketball Wives-inspired movie is still in the works.
