Exclusive: Audra McDonald on Same-Sex Marriage and the Black Community

The Broadway diva talks President Obama's personal endorsement of marriage equality.

Audra McDonald is not only the queen of Broadway, but she is an aggressive advocate for civil rights. Her support of same-sex marriage goes back years — before everyone else signed on — and she was ecstatic that President Barack Obama came out in support last month.  

In honor of June being LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender) Pride Month and Audra McDonald being up for her fifth Tony at the 66th Annual Tony Awards Sunday night, check out the video below of Audra sounding off on same-sex marriage. Plus, her thoughts as it relates to the African-American community.
