Fans of the Men in Black films should be ecstatic to know that plans for a fourth installment to the franchise are floating in the pipeline.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Doug Belgrad, the 46-year-old president of Sony Pictures, was asked if the $611 million MIB3 grossed was enough to inspire a number four.

“We're very pleased with the financial performance of Men in Black 3,” Belgrad replied, “And we believe it is an ongoing franchise. We're going to do [another one], but we don't have clarity yet on how it should be done.”

Released this past May, MIB3 was the highest grossing film of the franchise, which stars Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones. About a pair of evil-alien fighting space cops, the sci-fi action comedies have been worldwide blockbusters, with MIB (1997) grossing $589 million internationally and MIBII taking in $449 million at the worldwide box office.
