William Balfour will spend the rest of his days behind bars.
Justice has finally been served for Jennifer Hudson's family. William Balfour, who was convicted for the 2008 murders of Jennifer Hudson's mother, brother and nephew, will spend the rest of his life in prison.
Hours ago, a Chicago judge gave Balfour three life sentences and denied a request for a new trial. Jennifer Hudson was in the Chicago courtroom for the sentencing. For those wondering why there wasn't an even harsher punishment, Illinois does not have the death penalty.
Balfour was married to Hudson's sister and shot the family members in a jealous rage because she was dating another man.
