Casting News: Forest Whitaker Joins Zulu, Ne-Yo to Guest Star on 90210

Whitaker to replace Djimon Hounsou in the crime drama.

For Zulu, Djimon Hounsou is out, Forest Whitaker is in.  

After Kimora Lee's man dropped out of the crime drama, which co-stars Orlando Bloom, for undisclosed reasons, producers brought in the Oscar-winning actor and director to play the part of a South African cop who has a complicated relationship with a white colleague (Bloom) during the establishment of apartheid. 

Whitaker won an Academy Award for his portrayal of Ugandan dictator Idi Amin in The Last King of Scotland. He is currently part of the ensemble cast for Lee DanielsThe Butler.

On the other end of the pop culture spectrum, Ne-Yo will make a guest appearance on the hit television show 90210. The R&B star will play himself in the series, which will feature him performing at the Hollywood Bowl alongside series regular Jessica Lowndes

Nelly Furtado, Carly Rae Jepsen and Ryan Lochte are some other celebrity guests that will appear on 90210 this season.
