Jennifer Lopez, 43, hit Twitter on Wednesday morning in an effort to refute claims that she had an autograph-seeking cleaning woman fired, saying the reports were false and “hurtful."

"C'mon thought you knew me better than this," Lopez wrote. "Would never get anyone fired over an autograph. First I heard of this was on Twitter."

As we reported, hotel cleaning lady Pray Dodaj, who worked at the luxury hotel Melia Duesseldorf, was fired after asking Jennifer Lopez for her John Hancock. Dodaj said that since she had to clean on the floor Lopez was staying — and being a huge fan — she mustered up enough courage to ring her room bell and ask for the autograph.

The hotel worker said the next day she was let go from her job because, according to her employers, J.Lo had complained.

While Lopez has consistently denied having anything to do with Dodaj’s firing, it has been reported that the hotel maid has been offered a job at another hotel.
