DMX and Ving Rhames are partnering for a new big screen crime drama, Shadow & Act reports. The odd couple will star in Blame It on the Hustle, a film about the notorious Black Mafia Family, a drug trafficking organization originally from Detroit, Michigan.

The BMF, as they were known, started in the 1980s and grew to become one of the largest and most complex drug distribution organizations by the early 2000s. They later made attempts to legitimize their business by entering the music industry, promoting such artists as Young Jeezy and Jay-Z.

In 2005, the Drug Enforcement Agency brought down the BMF, targeting 150 members across the country and giving the family's leaders 30 years in prison.

It's not clear which roles Rhames or DMX will play in the biopic. Blame It on the Hustle will be directed by Cuban filmmaker Augustin and begins shooting this month in New York City.
