Amber Riley Blasts Nightclub Via Twitter

The Glee star cries foul at club WIP for denying her entourage entry.

It seems celebrity life isn’t all one big song and dance for one Glee star. Amber Riley was none too happy at the reception she and her entourage received at a New York City nightclub on Sunday night.

The 26-year-old just completed her stage debut in the Off-Broadway musical Cotton Club Parade.  She was looking forward to celebrating with her cast mates and friends at Manhattan’s WIP.

Contactmusic.com is reporting that Riley made a table reservation in advance but had major drama at the door. The WIP club rejected her 30-person group, forcing the group to find another place to party. What ensued next was a war of words between the star and the venue via Twitter.

First, Riley took the club owners to task by tweeting, “Never in my life have I dealt with such disrespect. That club WIP on Vandam Street, they are Crooks and Liars!" Her angry rant got a response from WIP club bosses who apologized for the “bad experience” but added it was unrealistic for Riley to believe she could bring 30 people to the “sold out” club.

Riley fired right back with this tweet, “WIP trust, If I had not called 4 days in advance and was promised guaranteed entrance I would not have (brought so many guests). We informed your people how many were coming. We checked and double-checked. I have the email chain to prove it. So whomever you had booking tables is a liar, obviously so, because he wouldn’t even come outside to speak to us. He hid behind the door. Yes I saw him hiding.”

Reps for WIP, where the infamous Drake and Chris Brown brawl occurred, avoided replying to the actress on Twitter, but did respond to the matter once again via TMZ.

“Ms. Riley’s team had contacted management before her arrival to work out her table arrangements, which included the purchase of bottles as well as a bottle on the house,” the WIP rep told TMZ. “Upon arrival, her party of 30 people refused to purchase any bottles, so they did not enter.”

Anyone holding out that Ms. Mercedes Jones might still have the last word on this one?
