Halle Berry Custody Drama: Eric Benét Is "Praying for Nahla"

Source says Berry's fiancé wants to leave U.S.

Halle Berry may have come to an "amicable" custody agreement with her ex Gabriel Aubry, but those close to her are still concerned for the drama in her personal life.
"I'm praying for the best for Nahla," Berry's ex Eric Benét tells In Touch, following a Thanksgiving brawl at Berry's home between her Aubry and her husband-to-be Olivier Martinez. "I am hoping for the best."
Meanwhile, RadarOnline.com reports there may be more to Berry's desperate bid to move Nahla to France than mere privacy issues. Though Berry has cited the omnipresent paparazzi as the reason to uproot Nahla from her Los Angeles home, where Aubry also lives, a source says Berry really wants to move because Martinez is not interested in making a permanent home in America.
"Olivier's family and friends all live in France and he is desperate to move back there," the source says. "Yes, Halle did like the fact that France has strict privacy laws that govern the press, but that wasn't the reason for the proposed move.”
The insider continued: “The judge overseeing the custody dispute between Halle and Gabe didn't think it was in Nahla's best interest for her to be moved halfway around the world to a foreign country, mainly because contact with her father would have been drastically cut."
It remains to be seen what will happen with Berry's relationship with Martinez as the custody drama unfolds but, for Nahla's sake, hopefully the tepid truce with Aubry lasts.
