Conrad Murray's Lawyers Get in Jailhouse Brawl
Conrad Murray can't stay away from drama, even locked up in a 10-by-10 cell. The disgraced doctor, jailed for administering dangerous drugs to Michael Jackson, found himself in the center of a brawl between his attorneys on Tuesday.
According to TMZ, it all started when Murray complained about pains in his shoulder and arm on Monday. His attorney J. Michael Flanagan, along with his son Ryan Flanagan, paid Murray a visit in jail to assist in getting him treatment.
Soon thereafter, Murray's other attorney, Valerie Wass, who represents Murray against the California Medical Board in relation to his malpractice issues, arrived at the scene. Wass was allegedly denied entry to Murray's cell by Ryan Flanagan, who she claims shoved her out of the way and harmed her physically.
As if Murray didn't have enough problems without his lawyers fighting, Wass is now filing battery charges against the Flanagans, with Murray as her star witness.
In November 2011, Murray was sentenced to four years in prison for involuntary manslaughter stemming from his involvement in Michael Jackson's death. He is expected to be released early, sometime in 2013, due to California prison overcrowding.
