So far, Michael Jackson’s former doctor Conrad Murray is getting zero sympathy from the court of public opinion. TMZ is reporting that Jackson’s former lawyer Tom Mesereau, the attorney who successfully defended the King of Pop during his 2005 molestation trial, has officially weighed in on the disgraced doc’s desperate and tearful voicemail message leaked to the public. “This man is despicable,” Mesereau said.

TMZ caught up with Mesereau in Los Angeles on Thursday. After just a minute of listening to Murray’s taped cries for help, Mesereau reportedly turned it off, disgusted, and said, “I can’t listen to any more of this.”

Mesereau then gave reporters an earful on his true feelings about Murray: “… This man has never taken responsibility for what he did to Michael Jackson. He’s always been a blamer. He blames Michael Jackson for everything. ... [Conrad] wants everyone to feel sorry for his situation. He caused the death of one of the greatest artists in world history … a kind, decent, wonderful, nice person. He caused his death and he’s never taken responsibility for it.”

It’s been a busy press week for Murray. Prior to the weepy publicized recorded message from the doctor begging to be sprung early from prison, two of his attorneys got into a jailhouse fight while trying to visit him. Murray is currently serving a four-year sentence for involuntary manslaughter in the death of Jackson. He will be released from prison later this year.
