The actor chased down burglar who broke into his home on Sunday.
Taye Diggs was either staging an elaborate audition for an action movie or he's a real-life hero. The Private Practice star single-handedly took down an intruder who broke into his Los Angeles home on Sunday night, TMZ reports.
The actor and his wife, Idina Menzel, returned to their home after attending the Screen Actors Guild Awards on Sunday night only to find that a man had let himself in. "The suspect tried to run away, but [Diggs] chased him down the street and was able to detain him until police arrived," LAPD spokesman Richard French tells People.com. "At this time, I don't know exactly what he did to the suspect to detain him."
The assailant was arrested, charged with burglary and is currently in custody. Bail has been set at $50,000. No word on what he stole from Diggs' home, but thanks to the actor's quick thinking, his family is safe and sound.
