Despite a first place win for zombie thriller Warm Bodies, new entries couldn't hold their own against Oscar contenders at the box office this weekend. Analysts blame the Super Bowl for the soft showing at the theater. Warm Bodies scored a decent, though not overwhelming, $20 million in ticket sales, trailed by Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters and Silver Linings Playbook.

Like Playbook, Oscar-nominated films Zero Dark Thirty, Les Misérables, Django Unchained and Lincoln also held onto spots in the top ten, alongside Mama, starring Best Actress nominee Jessica Chastain and Parker, starring Jennifer Lopez.

Sylvester Stallone's Bullet to the Head proved to be, well, expendable with a $4.5 million take. The aging box-office star will have a couple of more chances at a comeback this year with the drama Reach Me and the action thriller The Tomb.

Next week T.I. hits the big screen opposite Jason Bateman and Melissa McCarthy in Identity Thief.
