Is Sweet Brown ready for her Hollywood close-up? That just may be the case. Gawker is reporting that the Internet star has been cast in Tyler Perry’s A Madea Christmas.
Brown is now reportedly doing commercials, co-hosting TV shows and is being booked for private parties and church events. However, the official news of the YouTube sensation’s feature film debut remains unconfirmed because there is no listed source for her casting news.
But it should be noted that Tyler Perry was one of Brown’s earliest fans. Shadow and Act is reporting that the mogul posted the original viral video on his Facebook page and said it gave him a hearty laugh. So, in this day and age where anybody can become famous for just being alive, anything is possible.
For those still not fully familiar with Brown, she became famous because of a 2012 video news report about a fire in her Oklahoma City apartment building. Brown’s quotable catchphrase, “Ain’t nobody got time for that,” which she said in regard to her emergency situation, found a huge audience. The news report clip went viral and was played over 40 million times on YouTube. There are also several Auto-Tune mixes of the clip as well.
It still remains to be seen if Brown will be making her feature debut alongside Madea. But audiences should know soon enough. Tyler Perry's A Madea Christmas is currently filming and the movie is due in theaters this holiday season on December 13.
