Malcolm-Jamal Warner and Regina King Split

The couple of over two years calls it quits.

A match made in sitcom heaven has reached its finale.
Malcolm-Jamal Warner and Regina King have called it quits, a source confirms to Us Weekly. The couple had been together (at least, officially) for two years. King, who starred in 227 as a child, is reportedly "brokenhearted" over the split, which sources say was initiated by Warner. The former Cosby kid apparently "wasn't feeling it anymore."
Warner is said to have asked King and her son (from ex-husband Ian Alexander, Jr.) to move out of their shared residence. The couple went public with their romance in 2011, with Warner telling BET.com at the time, "we like to protect what we have because it's very special and very precious." He added, "it's a relationship that makes all the sense in the world."
Earlier that same year, King told Essence magazine, "Malcolm and I have a lot in common. Things are maturing nicely."
News of the breakup is also disappointing for fans of the couple, both beloved child actors who successfully transitioned into television careers as adults (King stars on the TNT series Southland). Warner and King had been one of the most private, grounded couples in Hollywood.
