Pat Houston Facebook Post Sparks Suicide Scare

Whitney Houston's sis-in-law says 911 call was a misunderstanding.

Whitney Houston's family isn't taking any chances when it comes to the health of their loved ones.
TMZ reports that relatives of the deceased singer's sister-in-law Pat Houston called 911 today after fears struck that the reality star would take her own life. It all started when Pat posted a melancholy message on Facebook, saying "sometimes you just feel like giving up on life and its many challenges. And for the first time in my life…I’m tired…and I want to finally rest. I love you guys."
Upon reading the message, several members of the family attempted to contact Pat, but she couldn't be reached. Concerned, they went to her New Jersey home and allegedly found her passed out in bed with a pill bottle next to her. The family members, who have not been identified, then called 911.
By the time paramedics arrived, Pat was awake and said the situation was a giant misunderstanding, explaining that she had taken pain medication for her back and fell into a deep sleep, so she didn't hear the phone ring. As for the Facebook message, she said it was a reaction to stress, not a projection of suicidal throughts.
Houston was still taken to the hospital as a precaution and released a few hours later.
