The reality star talks weight, fertility and insecurity.
It's not easy keeping up with the Kardashians, even if you are one.
Khloe Kardashian has always been regarded as the "ugly duckling" in a family full of beauties, and now the reality star and wife of NBA forward Lamar Odom is opening up on what it's like to be the sister of Kourtney and Kim Kardashian.
"I'm confident in who I am. I've always known that I'm not Kim and I'm not Kourtney. I've always been OK with that," she tells the June issue of Cosmopolitan UK. "I probably thought I was prettier before I entered the spotlight because being compared to somebody else every day does sort of beat up your spirit and soul. But it's made me stronger. I've gained another level of confidence."
The youngest Kardashian sister does admit that comments on her weight have made her uneasy. She says, "I'm pretty tough. I want to say I don't care, but of course [comments about my body] are going to sting."
Another sore topic: babies. With Kourtney already a mother-of-two and Kim expecting her baby with Kanye West in June, Khloe is the only Kardashian sister to be childless. Her struggles to conceive have been well-documented on her various reality shows, but the former X Factor host insists she's found peace. "I do want to have a baby, but I don't feel the urgency to have one this very moment," admitting that she will require hormone therapy when she tries to conceive.
Finally, Khloe opens up about her famous sister Kim and how her boyfriend Kanye earned the Kardashian stamp of approval. "I think Kanye knows how to deal with Kim really well," she says. "Because we've known him for so long, he’ll come to us if he wants advice on a birthday present or something. I like that."
"Kris [Humphries] wouldn't even talk to us," she says of Kim's now ex-husband. "I love that with Kanye we have that friendship. Because when you're with one of us you're with all of us."
Though she seems to have nothing but love for her sister, Khloe let her sibling rivalry peek through by admitting "Kim is definitely [mom Kris Jenner's] favorite."
While Khloe may feel lesser than her sisters in looks and fertility, she's certainly a favorite among fans, who appreciate her blunt, no-nonsense personality.
