Sherri Shepherd Finds Surrogate for Second Child

Good news for the talk show host, who has been open about fertility issues.

Sherri Shepherd is on her way to becoming a mother of two!
The View host and comedian recently announced on The Tom Joyner Morning Show that she and husband Lamar Sally have found a surrogate to carry their child. The talk show host, who has openly discussed her struggles with fertility on The View, is overjoyed by this big step toward having a second child.
"We found a drama-free uterus,” she told Joyner. "We found a girl that didn’t have any drama in her life. We’re putting in our egg and Sal’s sperm and we’ll let you know how it progresses."
Earlier this year, during an appearance on the Rachael Ray Show, Shepherd admitted that she and Sally were desperately looking for a suitable surrogate. "I’ll give you a free weave and a Hyundai for a year,” she joked, adding, "I don’t know how we’re going to have this baby because I’m in my forties and I can’t even remember my first son's name. But I'm going to have another baby because I’m feeling good."
Looks like Sherri's and Lamar's persistence paid off. Congratulations to the (soon-to-be) parents!
