As the country awaits brisk weather, fall leaves, and tailgate parties, AT&T and the nation's HCBU's are getting ready to kick off college football season. The best Black collegiate football teams will descend on Washington, D.C. for the AT&T Nation's Football Classic at Howard University on September 6. This year, the kick-off festivities will be hosted by none other than The Game star Wendy Raquel Robinson.
The Howard University alum says, "I am honored to return as one of the hosts of the AT&T Kickoff Rally, and I think it's wonderful that AT&T continues to support HBCUs and education. I am pulling for Howard to get that three-peat this year."
The faceoff between longtime rivals Howard U and Morehouse will jump-start the weekend event. Representing Howard's rival Morehouse will be hip hop's Mr. Manners, Fonzworth Bentley, an alum of the Atlanta-based HCBU.
Let the games — and football season — begin!
