Terrence Howard's Ex-Wife Sues for Unpaid Spousal Support

The reportedly newlywed actor must deal with ex drama.

If rumors are true, Terrence Howard should be on his honeymoon right about now. But the actor, who reportedly married his girlfriend of one month in recent weeks, has to deal with his ex-wife instead.
Howard is being sued by his ex Michelle Ghent for unpaid spousal support, RadarOnline.com reports. Ghent says the Oscar nominee owes her six figures in payments, including money she spent on a recent trip to Costa Rica where the couple attempted to reconcile.
“Since the commencement date of 5/15/12, Terrence Howard has only made sporadic payments to me totaling $18,435 and owes an arrearage sum of $63,303… the Court finds that Terrence Howard owes me $122,221.64 including interest… legal fees to my lawyer, $15,500,” the court documents read.
Ghent, who was Howard's third wife, claims his failure to pay has forced her to move out of her home and ruined her credit. “During our recent reconciliation, Terrence Howard frequently made charges on my credit cards as Respondent does not have his own credit cards and promised to reimburse me for his charges,” she alleged.

“At Terrence Howard’s request, I charged our 7/2012 trip to Costa Rica on my credit card. The unreimbursed charges for the Costa Rica trip and prior charges are approx. $18,282.”

In the filing, it’s also exposed that between May 2012 and June 2013, Howard earned $856,442.77.
This is the latest development in ongoing drama between Ghent and Howard. After their failed attempt at reconciling in Costa Rica, Ghent requested a temporary restraining order against the star after she accused him of punching and kicking her.

In her application for a temporary restrainer order, she alleged Howard “sucker punched [her] on the left side of [her] face” and “continued to strangle [her] for several seconds.”

Howard vehemently denied the allegations and protested in court documents that his ex-wife was maliciously trying to destroy his “reputation and career with baseless allegations.”
