Actor to play recurring role on the hit BET series.
Kyle Massey is coming to Being Mary Jane. The That's So Raven star has landed a recurring role on the hit BET show, which stars Gabrielle Union, Omari Hardwick and Lisa Vidal. The news comes less than a day after it was announced that Salli Richardson will also appear on the series in season two.
Massey will play Cameron, the young, swaggering, out-of-touch father of Niecy’s (Raven Goodwin) baby, Treyvion, who transfers to a local college when his scholarship money runs out.
Being Mary Jane, created by Mara Brock Akil, tells the story of a successful, highly driven TV news anchor (Union) and her struggle to balance work, life and family. The show made a splash from its world premiere, which garnered more than four million viewers, and is currently in production on season two.
Massey and his brother Christopher Massey made headlines recently for suing Bristol Palin, the daughter of former Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin, over a reality television deal gone bad. The Massey brothers settled with Palin out of court.
