Tim Story: 'My Work Shows That These Movies Make Money'

Think Like a Man Too director shares his confidence in Black films.

Famous for directing box office smashes such as Barbershop, Ride Along and Fantastic Four, Tim Story is experienced and respected in the Hollywood circuit. With the premiere of Think Like a Man Too right around the corner, Story firmly believes that Black movie viewers will support films they enjoy.

"The movies that I've been blessed to be a part of have made a lot of money," Story tells us in our exclusive interview. "It's a blessing. You can't ignore the buying power of the audience."

Think Like a Man Too, which reunites the ensemble cast, including Michael Ealy, Taraji P. Henson, and Meagan Good, sees Story collaborate once again with comedian Kevin Hart and super-producer Will Packer. So, what would this dream team's dream project be, given the opportunity?

"Maybe we'd have Kevin be Sammy Davis Jr. or something," jokes Story, in reference to a possible biopic.

The famed director also finally shares some details about the rumored Black Phantom film, telling BET.com exclusively that he is indeed attached to direct and will likely nab Academy Award-winning actor Jamie Foxx for the title role.

In the meantime, be sure to support Tim Story's latest venture, Think Like a Man Too, slated to hit theaters on June 20, 2014. Watch our exclusive interview below to see Story speak on the actors' personalities and his passion for his craft.
