It's official! Universal Pictures has announced that the third installment of the Best Man franchise will return to big screens on April 15, 2016.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the film, titled The Best Man Wedding, like its predecessors, will be written and directed by Malcolm D. Lee, with Sean Daniel producing.

The majorly anticipated film follows last year's high-grossing The Best Man Holiday, which earned $70.5 million at the U.S. box office. The first of the franchise, The Best Man, grossed $35.1 million domestically.

It has also been confirmed that the entire cast will return. The stars of the previous films include Nia Long, Terrence Howard, Taye Diggs, Harold Perrineau, Morris Chestnut, Monica Calhoun, Sanaa Lathan, Melissa De Sousa and Regina Hall.
