Wesley Snipes Served With Legal Papers at Expendables 3 Premiere

Actor ordered to appear at debtor's examination.

Not a moment of peace for Wesley Snipes. The actor, who was released from prison last year after serving a sentence for tax evasion, was served with legal papers while walking the red carpet for the premiere of his new film The Expendables 3, RadarOnline.com reports.
Snipes was handed the summons, ordering him to appear for a debtor's examination, as he made his way from the screening of the film to the after-party. The actor is being sued by public relations firm Sitrick & Company for failure to pay fees associated with work the group did, ironically, when the actor was facing felony tax evasion charges.
According to court documents, Snipes must “furnish information to aid in enforcement of a money judgement” totaling $103,000, the amount a court states Snipes owes the firm.

The document clearly states he “may be subject to arrest and punishment for contempt of court, and the court may take an order requiring [him] to pay reasonable attorney fees incurred by the judgment creditor in this proceeding.”
Snipes served a three-year sentence for tax evasion and was released in April 2013.
