It's official. Real Housewives of Atlanta star Phaedra Parks is calling it quits with her incarcerated husband Apollo Nida.
The reality star's rep Steven Hoing confirmed to E! News that the two are separating, stating that she "has retained an attorney with the intent of amicably ending her marriage."
This news is anything but shocking. Hoing hinted that divorce was on the horizon last month on the same day that Nida was incarcerated, issuing a statement stating that Parks was solely focused on "the well-being of her two children and making decisions that are in their best interests."
In September, Nida checked himself into prison where he began an eight-year sentence for bank fraud and identity theft. Prior to surrendering, Nida reportedly made a detour to Parks's home and got into an explosive argument with his estranged wife. The debacle was, naturally, caught by RHOA cameras and is set to air on the upcoming seventh season of the reality series.
Unlike fellow Housewives couple Theresa and Joe Guidice, both of whom were sentenced to prison terms last week on similar charges, Parks — an attorney herself — has managed to keep her hands clean of her husband's drama.
The soon-to-be divorced couple has two sons, Ayden, 3, and Dylan, 1.
