Mike Epps Apologizes for Racist Photo
Mike Epps is apologizing to his fans after posting a seemingly racist photo to social media. The image depicts three white men picking cotton while a black man cracks a whip over their heads. In the corner of the photo, you see Martin Luther King Jr. looking down from the sky smiling. Epps captioned the photo with, “I am so proud of you bro! lol.”
The controversial image has sparked an outrage on Twitter. Epps addressed the backlash in a phone call to TMZ, saying the incident was a misunderstanding that started with an email from his nephews. He said “I was just cracking a joke. I’m a comedian man. I thought it was funny….I didn’t mean no harm. If I offended anybody, I apologize.”
