That Was Fast: Is Mariah Carey's Wedding Already On the Rocks?

There's reportedly trouble between the singer and her billionaire boo.

Mariah Carey has been on cloud nine since she got engaged to billionaire James Packer earlier this year, but looks like now the storm is brewing. Though Mimi previously said she was hoping for a quick wedding, turns out she may not get her way thanks to some friction with her future mother-in-law.
According to the Sydney Morning Herald, Mariah and her Australian boo have put their wedding on hold because the singer and Packer's mother Ros Packer can't see eye-to-eye on the details. Mama Packer has reportedly been “putting on a happy face” about the engagement, when secretly she's not thrilled about having an internationally famous diva in the family. “They are very different women,” the insider told the Herald. “Ros is a woman raised in the country with very traditional values who has maintained a dignified silence for all the years she and Kerry [James’ dad] were in the spotlight.”
But that's not all: the guest list is also allegedly causing problems. While Mariah is looking for an intimate wedding with only 50 or so guests, the small number means leaving Packer’s closest friends and family off the list. The current guest list is reportedly mostly made up of “Carey’s Hollywood posse” while James’ sister, Gretel, and his niece and nephews may not make the cut.

Hopefully in-laws drama doesn't derail Mimi from her happy ending. Catch up on their fairytale with BET Breaks, below:
