Lollipop Necklaces Support Cancer Research
Pride permeated the Los Angeles Bloomingdale’s trunk show as LL Cool J gushed about his wife’s new jewelry line, the Simone I. Smith Collection. Her earrings bracelets and Swarovski crystal lollipop necklaces are a yummy addition to every jewelry box. “I’m really proud of my wife,” said the rap star. “This was her dream. I’m happy for her.”
Smith, who formerly suffered from a rare form of cancer told Entertainment Tonight, that she had to get her entire leg reconstructed. “It took me two and a half years to learn how to walk.” It’s been an amazing recovery for the entrepreneur who added that every time one of the lollipops is purchased ten percent of the proceeds goes to the American Cancer Society for cancer research.
“She had the will,” says LL who was also joined by their three daughters. “She had the faith and she made it through.” Other celebs who came out to help lick cancer included Angela Bassett, Regina King, Nicole Ari Parker, Kelly Rowland and Kim Porter.
