Vanity Fair has given a sneak peek at their 72nd annual International Best-Dressed List and we’re not at all surprised to see The First Couple and superstar Janelle Monáe recognized amongst the style mavens that dazzle the world.

Janelle Monáe receives the honor for the first time and is named a fashion original along with quirky fashionistas like Lady Gaga. The singer-songwriter’s timeless and classic black and white tuxedo uniform and signature bouffant has charmed the fashion industry as a whole. Iconic designer Karl Lagerfeld named her a muse this year and she’s been featured in top fashion magazines when she’s not busy hitting the "Tightrope" and belting on stage.

President Barack Obama and Michelle Obama make their first appearance together on the Best-Dressed Couples list, but have each appeared separately on the list before. The First Lady has been among the best-dressed ladies for the past four years, while the President has only earned a spot once, back in 2009. Our POTUS fills any room with his presence in a power suit and, of course, the world can’t stop musing about Lady O’s impeccable mix of high and low designers and brands, but together these two are a stylish force to be reckoned with!

Who would you name internationally best dressed?
