The actress gives BET.com tips to keeping it round and right.
Tisha Campbell-Martin is looking absolutely fabulous these days. After revealing her battle with sarcoidosis, the actress gained a significant amount of weight because of the steroids used to treat the inflammatory disease. However, through weight gain and weight loss, one thing remained in tact: her round, firm derriere.
We spent some time talking to Tisha backstage at the 2011 Hoodie Awards at the decked out Soft-Sheen Carson beauty suite. Celebrity stylist, Johnny Wright, earlier styled her tresses for the big show and over a few glasses of champagne, the Martin favorite gave us the keys to a tight tush.
“I think it’s genetic,” she said. “My mom gained weight, but she’s still real tight in the back. It’s that same a** from back in the day. She didn’t give me stretch marks, either, so I lucked out.”
However, she doesn’t just let nature take its course. Tisha’s workout regimen is no joke and she pays special attention to ensuring that her assets don’t drop. “It’s a lot of squats,” said the lean starlet, who confessed to working out twice a day. “I started doing a lot of cardio to build up my lungs because of my sarcoid. I also incorporate boxing. I’ve been boxing since I was 16.” She also stressed the importance of including weight training in your routine to build lean muscle, which will result in a lifted, more defined butt.
Her top tip to ditching that saggy booty? “Don’t get bored! Remember to mix it up. Work your entire body.”
A little genetic boost from mom doesn’t hurt, either.
