The singer says she's still working on her inner sl-t.
During a recent visit to the Chelsea Lately show, Toni Braxton talked about her love life and what it's been like to date a white man or, as she likes to say, "playing in the snow."
"It's kind of nice, I can't deny it," she said. "Well, just because it's something different. The skin feels different. That's kind of nice. It smells different. Is that in my head? No?"
Host Chelsea Handler then blew up Braxton's spot on television by asking if her boyfriend knows that she goes on dates with her estranged husband, Keri Lewis, to whom she's still legally married and with whom she has two sons.
"Well, I haven't told him that, but he knows now!" Braxton exclaimed.
She quickly went on to gush about her brand new boyfriend.
"But yeah, he's a really nice guy. He likes hiking. Black people don't hike. Is it called kayaking? See, I can't pronounce it. That stuff, too. Those are the differences, but other than that, it's pretty much the same because everyone's pretty international now, you know?"
Braxton might be dabbling in other cultures and tastes, but she and her beau have yet to do the do "because it's only been six to eight weeks."
"I've been locked down for 10 years. I'm not comfortable with the sl-t in me yet. I'm working on her. She's not out yet," Braxton says.
