La La Anthony is a what you might call a superwoman. In addition to her hit reality television series, hosting gigs, production company, makeup line, and being the wife of NY Knicks star Carmelo Anthony and mom to 5-year-old Kiyan, Anthony has now launched a fashion line. In partnership with her stylist, Jason Bolden, the duo has created a classically hip capsule collection of jumpsuits for their 5th and Mercer clothing line sold exclusively on Shopbop.com.
The name of the brand itself, according to La La, "encapsulates everything we love about New York — the chic toughness of downtown and the refinement of uptown." The jumpsuits, which have been seen on Gabrielle Union, Kelly Rowland and Tamar Braxton, available now, are sure to turn heads and get tongues wagging in the fashion world. The line has already received the industry consign from the likes of Rachel Roy, Mary J. Blige, Cassie, Kim Kardashian and more.
When asked about the future of 5th and Mercer, Bolden, who also works with Monica and Taraji P. Henson, said, "We hope to create a massive collection and ultimately make it into the major retail stores." He continued, "We're excited about the road we're on."
