Beyoncé has been named an honorary chair for the annual Met Gala, a glam affair that celebrates the opening of the fashion exhibit at New York City's Metropolitan Museum of Art. According to Women's Wear Daily, the singer might greet attendees alongside co-hosts Rooney Mara, Givenchy designer Riccardo Tisci, Lauren Santo Domingo, and Vogue Editor-in-Chief Anna Wintour. The theme for this year's May 6 gala is "Punk: Chaos to Couture."
Last year, the stylish star showed up fashionably late to the fête, but made heads spin in a sheer lace Givenchy dress with a dramatic purple feathered trail. Can't wait to see what she'll pick for this year's big event.
The exhibition will run from May 9 to August 14.
