America's Next Top Model Heads to Africa

Nigerian model Oluchi Onweagba Orlandi will serve as host and executive producer.

The America's Next Top Model franchise is expanding into a new continent: Africa! The series' host Tyra Banks made the announcement over Twitter last week and welcomed Nigerian model Oluchi Onweagba Orlandi to the ANTM family. The latest spinoff will be the fourth continent that has taken in the model search competition. Orlandi will be its host and executive producer.
Twelve participants from eight African countries will compete in a series of photo-shoot challenges, like the American version, until one is crowned the winner. Judges for the spinoff have yet to be announced, but production will begin in August in Cape Town, South Africa. The show will air in Africa on the MNET Africa Magic channels this year.
