The celeb-beloved hat brand launches new styles on May 26.
Chances are, your hat collection is due for an upgrade this summer, and New York City-based Twnty Two is poised to meet demand.
The lifestyle brand is rolling out a new limited edition style each month of Summer 2014. The first, dubbed “MIA All Day,” which drops on Memorial Day (May 26), is a collaboration with upscale brand DIEM and features a denim and teal color palette with a gold clasp on the back.
Next up is a special edition of its popular “All NY” style, nicknamed “Derek Jeter Collector’s Edition.” The blue-and-white snapback features a commemorative sewn-in patch honoring the retiring Yankee legend and fittingly drops on his birthday (June 26). Rounding out the summer line is “Summer Love,” slated for release in July, and the “All LA” Royalty Reign, hitting stores in August. Lid aficionados will want to act quickly, as only 100 of each style will be produced.
Launched in 2013 by respected music journalist Datwon Thomas, Gary Gonzalez and Sade Rogers, Twnty Two is quickly gaining credibility in the streets. Brooklyn rappers Uncle Murda (pictured above) and Maino have been spotted rocking the “BK All Day” snapback on their domes, while NBA baller Carmelo Anthony favors the sold-out “All NY” version in red.
