Jamaica Authorities Try to Stem Police Mistakes Amid Rising Murder Rate

The Jamaica Constabulary Force announced that it will join the country’s five representative police groups and adopt new procedures aimed at curbing the number of fatal incidents during police operations. Since January, 56 civilians have been killed in police operations.

The country is also working to address a spike in murders since the start of the new year.
