Russell Simmons and Questlove Go Head to Head to Fundraise for Obama
Russell Simmons and Questlove are partaking in a friendly competition to raise funds for President Barack Obama's re-election. The Def Jam founder and the Roots drummer are trying to see who could raise more funds and right now Questlove is coming out on top with 77 percent of funds raised. Simmons has raised 22 percent, but he's not backing down yet.
"Questlove is bustin’ my a** in this fundraising competition for @BarackObama. I need people to join my team! HELP," he pleaded to his Twitter followers on Sept. 19.
Questlove also took to the social media network to keep his lead going strong. "Get involved quick! Don’t let @barackobama down, help me outraise @UncleRUSH," he tweeted last week.
