Amar'e Stoudemire is set to executive produce a basketball documentary that follows four young athletes who dream of becoming professional players. Rapper Lupe Fiasco and producer Timbaland are also playing a role in creating Little Ballers, which is set for release in 2013.

Stoudemire knows firsthand what it's like to be a young baller. The New York Knicks player was a part of the Amateur Athletic Union when he was younger and was drafted into the NBA straight out of high school by the Phoenix Suns in 2002. While he succeeded in landing a spot in pro sports at an early age, Stoudemire also values education as he enrolled in summer classes at the University of Miami and is working on a bachelor's degree in general studies. He also launched a children's book series through Scholastic titled STAT: Standing Tall and Talented, which is aimed toward middle school children to encourage them to read.
