Yo Gotti Cleared of All Charges in Club Shooting

Rapper Yo Gotti has been cleared of all charges stemming from a November 29 club shooting in which five men were wounded.

Gotti (born Mario Mims) and nine other men were charged with aggravated riot in a melee gone wrong in the parking lot of the Level II entertainment complex in his native Memphis. Jennifer Donnals, a spokeswoman for the Shelby County District Attorney’s Office, says all the charges were dropped because there weren’t enough witnesses.

Reports claim the incident started shortly after the “5 Star” rapper and his friend, Corey McClendon, got into an argument with rapper OG Boo Dirty.

According to court documents, the argument escalated into a full-on brawl after OG punched McClendon. Eight other men then jumped into the fight in which “unidentified persons from within the brawl started firing shots,” according to the police report’s affidavits. Per Donnals, charges were also dropped against six other men involved in the fight.

There was already bad blood between Gotti and OG prior to the fight. OG had even released a diss record titled “F**k H*e Gotti.”
