Conflicting stories are being reported on this weekend's incident in Haiti where Wyclef claimed to have been shot. Over the weekend, Wyclef said he suffered a gunshot to his hand as he was getting out of a car to make a phone call in the Delmas section of the capital. Now, police are reporting otherwise.

Police Chief Vanel Lacroix said that Wycef's hand was not wounded by a bullet, but by glass. "We met with the doctor who saw him and he confirmed Wyclef was cut by glass," he told Reuters.

But on Sunday, Wyclef vividly recounted the incident. "I heard blow, blow, blow and I just looked at my hand." Wyclef said he did not know who was shooting or whether they were actually shooting at him.

The hip-hop artist had been in Haiti campaigning for Michel Martelly, who he endorsed last year.

Cops are describing Wyclef's injury as a minor cut.
