Hova's Collabo with Kanye is Still in the Making
DJ, engineer and producer Young Guru caught up with Vibe and discussed Watch The Throne, the highly anticipated joint album from Jay-Z and Kanye West.
Not much as happened with the release since the duo debuted the first track, "H.A.M.", earlier this year, when buzz from West's My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy was still resonating.
Guru, who didn't contribute beats to WTT but submitted music, said he's "really trying to get Jay and Kanye to hurry up and finish...[it] just needs little tweaks and things like that. But the core of the album is finished.”
Though he didn't reveal any guest appearances, he did mention some enticing words about a future Jay-Z project that he wishes he "could tell the world about...It’s so simple, but yet so elegant at the same time.
"[Jay] can’t stop, it’s in his blood.”
