Snoop Dog Creates Nate Dogg Memorial Trust

The rapper announces fund for the fallen singer’s family.

Snoop Dogg has announced the Nate Dogg Memorial Trust to support the family of his friend Nate Dogg, who died in his home on March 15, 2011, at the age of 41. He is survived by six children, Debra, Whitney, Aundrane, Nathaniel Jr., Niajel and Milana. “Nate is like my brother,” Snoop Dogg said in a press release. “Me and Nate were friends since sophomores at Poly High, so it’s a little bit deeper…this is somebody who started with me.”
Snoop is urging fans to donate via a PayPal link on his website, SnoopDogg.com. The site says that “100% of ALL donations will be given to Nate Dog’s family,” and there are also directions for donating via other methods. Fans can also purchase limited edition t-shirts to support the trust.
The 213 singer’s memorial service will be held tomorrow in Long Beach. A thousand tickets were made available to the public today, on a first come, first served basis.
