Jim Jones Says Diplomats Prepping July EP

The Harlem collective is working on reunion project for an Independence Day release.

In a new interview with Vibe magazine, Jim Jones says Harlem's favorite sons, the Diplomats, will be back with a new EP called Independence Day, to be released—when else—on Independence Day.
Capo says the disc will feature fresh material from Dip Set's original foursome, including himself, Cam'ron, Juelz Santana and Freekey Zekey.
Having fractured over long-standing internal feuds, the Diplomats have not released a joint studio project since 2004's Diplomatic Immunity 2. The collective came together in 2010 to release their reunion single, "Salute," following a very public breakup in 2008. Jones said this time relationships have improved.
“The difference is the respect level that’s there amongst all of us feels good,” he said.

The group has recently been hitting spots in the states on their loosely scheduled reunion tour.
