The Chef tells BET.com that conflicting show dates will prevent him from joining his “brothers” in concert.
Though the recently announced Wu-Tang UK mini tour with Yelawolf has already generated excitement from fans on both sides of the pond, it looks like the sons of Shaolin will be going forward without at least one crucial member.
Raekwon tells BET.com that he won't be on the tour due to a conflict with his own touring schedule.
"Unfortunately, I won't be joining my Wu Tang brothers on tour this June. I'll still be on the road with dates for the North American leg of the ‘Shaolin vs. Wu Tang’ tour," Rae said.
Though he won't be attending the UK concerts, The Chef expressed confidence that the rest of the Clan would keep the party going without him.
"I love being on the stage with all my n----s,” said Rae. “That's my family. We all have business to take care of, but as long as that Wu flag is being held high all over the world, and the fans get to see us and still know we're here, then everything is cool. They know I'm there in spirit. They're gonna hold it down."
Raekwon's “Shaolin vs. Wu-Tang” tour kicked off in Canada yesterday with a show in Ottawa. While Rae’s set ends on June 6 in Raleigh, NC, Wu-Tang and Yelawolf have their first show in the UK on June 11.
