Its not the type of song any artist likes to make, but Warren G hit the studio to record a musical tribute to his late best friend, hip hop singer Nate Dogg.

According to Hip Hop DX, Warren plans to digitally release the track "This Is Dedicated to You,” an ode to Nate in the coming weeks.

In the dedication Warren pays homage to the legacy of the artist who assisted him on his most popular single, 1994’s “Regulate.”

“Regulatin’ the era, standing side by side and we down for whatever/that’s the days of the past now I’m looking at the future like fuck, I don’t even wanna do music!” Warren reportedly rhymes on the track.

As previously reported, Nate Dogg passed away on March 15 due to complications related to congestive heart failure. He was 41 years old.
