Wu-Tang, Prodigy and Others Celebrate The Bronx At Block Party

Artists come together to perform at a new annual event in honor of the birthplace of hip hop.

The Wu-Tang Clan and Prodigy will be among a number of hip hop artists to appear at the 1st annual Bronx Block party, taking place on Sunday, May 15 from 1-4pm at the Bronx Museum of the Arts. The event is being put together by Prowaxmusic.com and the Bronx borough President's office to celebrate the Bronx as the birthplace of hip hop.

 

The day's festivities will include performances, a demonstration by DJ Scratch, and a proclamation by Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz. Other performers include Lord Finesse, Large Professor, Cuban Link, Grafh, Pebblee Poo, Grand Daddy I.U., Ma Barker, and Grand Wizzard Theodore, among others. Wordsmith will be the host.

 

The Bronx Museum of the Arts is located at 1040 Grand Concourse in the Bronx, New York.
