We reported last night that Beyoncé’s fourth album, 4, had been leaked online, a full three weeks before its anticipated release date of June 28. Today, she took to Facebook to comment on the leak: “My music was leaked and while this is not how I wanted to present my new songs, I appreciate the positive response from my fans. When I record music I always think about my fans singing every note and dancing to every beat. I make music to make people happy and I appreciate that everyone has been so anxious to hear my new songs.”
It’s a super-zen response from the diva, whose first single from the project, “Run the World (Girls),” hasn’t hit as high on the charts as her past releases. Word is that the leaked version of the album doesn’t include all the tracks, so fans will still have something new to dance in the mirror to come the end of the month.
