Song and video download proceeds will benefit the Amy Winehouse Foundation.
Viewers caught a few minutes of the studio session on MTV’s Video Music Awards last month, and today, Amy Winehouse and Tony Bennett’s rendition of “Body and Soul” was released to iTunes (both the audio and the video). It comes on what would have been Winehouse’s 28th birthday. Net proceeds from the song will be contributed to the Amy Winehouse Foundation, a new nonprofit that will funnel money to youth causes around the world, according to a press release. The song is one of 17 tracks on Bennett’s Duets II album, which includes collaborations with Queen Latifah, Lady Gaga, Mariah Carey and Aretha Franklin.
