Ashanti, Ne-Yo Star in Boys And Girls Club of America PSA

The R&B singers lend their time to a BGCA campaign.

R&B singers Ashanti and Ne-Yo are among the 21 celebrities who decided to participate in a new campaign for the Boys and Girls Club of America by starring in a PSA that premiered today [September 22] at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C.
In the spot filmed this past June in Los Angeles, the singers joined fellow BGCA alumni Jennifer Lopez, Smokey Robinson, Denzel Washington, Shaquille O'Neal, Kerry Washington and more in representing the organization as a part of their "Great Futures Start Here" initiative, reports AllHipHop.com. The program, centered around the BGCA's activities, aims to draw attention to the risks that children and teens face each day including illiteracy, poverty, teen violence and obesity.
Pop icon Beyoncé donated her "I Was Here" track off her latest album 4 to be used in the PSA as well.
