Mos Def and Talib Kweli

Looks like hip hop heads are a step closer to a possible Black Star reunion. Talib Kweli and Mos Def, who released the instant classic, Mos Def & Talib Kweli Are Black Star, in 1998, have been touring the country this year performing the album as part of their spot on the Rock The Bells festival series. Now, they have further advanced their legacy with a new song, titled “Fix Up.” They will perform it tonight on Comedy Central’s The Colbert Report, at 11:30 p.m. EST. They will also grace fans with “Astronomy (8th Light),” from their debut album.

Though they have continually played coy about the possibility of a reunion album, they have created several songs together for each other's albums over the years, including “This Means You” from Kweli’s Reflection Eternal/Train of Thought, and "History" from Mos Def’s The Ecstatic.

If you miss them on The Colbert Report, you can watch the performance and extra footage on the show’s website.
